9 Ingredient Superfood Energy Bites

Yum! Yum! Yummmmy! My favourite.

This is one of those foods that when it entered my mouth, I felt really gooood! They are not too sweet and you can actually taste many of the ingredients used at every chew. I don't mean the type of cut and swallow chew. lol.

Great for any time of the year. It's an amazing way for the children to get in their nuts, vitamins and superfoods with ease. They can even make these bites themselves, as the recipe is so easy and straight forward.

There are some ingredient that can be replaced if you haven't got all the ingredients. You will find theses after the method.

People something think that to eat a real healthy meal or snack it will take too much time, but this is real quick. Just don't make it when your hungry because there won't be any left.

You can make this and store it in an airtight container in a cool place.

Serves: Make 33 small to medium sized balls. Level: Easy

  • 1 cup Almond flour

  • 1 cup Coconut flour

  • 1 tbsp Milled Chia Seeds

  • 1/2 cup Pecan Nuts (chopped)

  • 1/2 cup Walnuts (chopped)

  • 1tsp Moringa

  • Glazed cherries (chopped)

  • 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (melted)

  • 1/2 cup Sea Moss Gel (My homemade)

  1. Place all dry ingredients in a bowl

  2. Add the oil in a little at a time and mix so that it coats  all ingredients.

  3. Add sea moss gel and mix until combined.

  4. Use a table spoon to make the bites an equal size.

  5. Ready to eat! (If you don't want to coat them) I like mine a little firm so I leave it in the fridge for about 15 minutes.

  6. (If you want to coat them) I used:

  • Cocoa Powder

  • Cinnamon Powder

  • Mixed Seeds

  • Turmeric Powder

  • Melted dark chocolate

  • Matcha

  • Coconut Flour

  • Pistachio Nuts

These coating ingredients are what I used to cover the bites. You don't have to use anything. They taste nice uncovered.

  1. I only used 1-2 tbsp to cover the bites by placing the ingredients in separate bowls.

  2. Swirl the bite one by one around to cover evenly, then used a fork to place it down neatly.

  3. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
